FairPoint Communications highlights small business stories across northern New England
PORTLAND, Maine (Nov. 29, 2011) - Three business owners in northern New England have been featured in the first wave of FairPoint Communications' Bigger than Small Spotlight Series based on their responses to the question: "Why is your business bigger than small?"
Considering that almost 60 percent of the private-sector jobs in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont come from the more than 360,000 small businesses in the region (according to the U.S. Small Business Administration), the issues and challenges that small business owners face daily are very big business.
FairPoint's Bigger than Small Spotlight Series will feature the stories of these business owners:
Randi Lee in Coventry, Vt., had an eye for photography and wanted to capture the biggest moments in people's lives - and spend more time with her kids.
Chris Coleman from Waldo, Maine, found inspiration in locations around northern New England - and wanted to share that inspiration with customers looking for a location to hold their "ultimate gathering."
Exeter, N.H., business owner Joe Paolini was approached by his brother (a heart surgeon) to create a network he could rely on; Joe's Global Network Systems allows his brother and his other clients to focus on what matters most, the health of their patients.
