Paul Sunu has served as chief executive officer of FairPoint Communications Inc. since August
   2010, prior to which he was chief financial officer of Hargray  Communications Group, Inc., a
   position he had held since 2008. Mr. Sunu was chief financial officer of Hawaiian Telcom from
   2007 to 2008 and a managing director and chief financial officer of Madison River
   Communications from 1996 to 2007.

   He currently serves as chairman of Integra Telecom, is a former board member of Madison
   River Communications, Centennial Communications Corp., Hawaiian Telcom and Merscom.
   He served on the board of advisors and as an adjunct professor for the Love School of
   Business at Elon University. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois
   and a J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law and is a certified public accountant.


  Shirley Linn is responsible for managing FairPoint's legal matters including contracts, securities
  law compliance, employment issues and acquisitions. She joined the company in October
  2000. Before that she was a partner with the Charlotte law firm of Underwood Kinsey Warren &
  Tucker, P.A., where she specialized in general business matters, particularly mergers and

  Ms. Linn began her legal career in New York City. As outside counsel she represented
  FairPoint in ten of its phone company acquisitions.


  John Lunny, executive vice president and chief technology officer at FairPoint
  Communications, Inc., is responsible for voice and data network architecture, data center
  operations, IT, engineering and provisioning, as well as project management and product

  Mr. Lunny has more than 25 years of network operations, engineering and service delivery
  experience in the communications industry. He joined FairPoint in 2008 as director of sales
  engineering and was promoted to vice president of network planning in 2009 and Senior
  Vice President of Planning and Engineering in 2010. He moved into his current role in 2013
  and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2015.

  Prior to joining FairPoint, Mr. Lunny was senior director of service delivery at Comcast
  Business Services, and before that he spent 13 years at Level 3 Communications in
  operations where he took on roles of increasing responsibility and became vice president of
  operations for the northeast region. Mr. Lunny also worked in sales engineering and
  operations at Reliance CommTec / Lorain Power. He began his career in Network
  Operations for AT&T.

  Peter Nixon directs FairPoint's state and federal regulatory and governmental affairs, HR, Labor Relations and Risk Management
  activities across the company.

  Nixon began his career with Chautauqua and Erie Telephone Corporation (C&E) in 1978. When FairPoint acquired C&E in
  July 1997, Nixon was named president of C&E. Since then, he has served FairPoint in positions of increasing
  responsibility including senior vice president of corporate development, chief operating officer and president.

  Nixon is a graduate of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He is a past chairman of the New York State Telecommunications Association


  Steven Rush, a 35-year telecom industry veteran, is responsible for the operational leadership
  of FairPoint’s northern New England properties. He was most recently FairPoint’s senior vice
  president of customer care and network assurance. Prior to FairPoint, Rush spent 26 years with
  AT&T in roles of increasing responsibility and tackled many challenges including mobilizing
  and coordinating restoral of the telecommunications network serving the New York Stock
  Exchange following the events of Sept. 11, 2001. In his most recent role with AT&T, he was vice
  president of Network Operations.

  Directly before coming to FairPoint, Rush was Vice President of the Technical Network for
  INFONXX in Bethlehem, Pa. Rush began his career as a Fire Control Technician in the U.S.
  Navy specializing in the Advanced Electronics and Electricity division.


  Ajay Sabherwal joined FairPoint in July 2010 and is responsible for the company's financial
  reporting and control, treasury and investor relations. He came to FairPoint from Aventine
  Renewable Energy and Mendel Biotechnology where he served as Chief Financial Officer
  (CFO). Prior to this he was with Choice One Communications in Rochester, New York, having
  been appointed CFO in 1999.

  Sabherwal began his telecommunications career in 1989 in Canada with CNCP
  Telecommunications (predecessor of AT&T Canada) where he was a senior manager of
  business planning. In the 1990s he was a leading Canadian telecommunications equity analyst
  with Deacon Barclays deZoete Wedd and then Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

  He holds a master's degree in business administration from Manchester Business School in
  Manchester, UK . He also earned a master's degree in economics and a bachelor's degree in
  mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science in India.


  Tony Tomae, executive vice president and chief revenue officer at FairPoint Communications, Inc.,
  is responsible for all aspects of FairPoint’s sales, marketing and product development functions.

  In particular, growth in business and transport services on FairPoint’s next-generation IP/MPLS
  network will be instrumental to FairPoint’s revenue base. Mr. Tomae's deep knowledge of sales
  and marketing in the telecom sector – including particular strengths in the business segment –
  provide a unique perspective and key skills to lead this dynamic transformation.

  Mr. Tomae joined FairPoint in April 2012 with 22 years experience in sales and marketing with
  leading telecommunications companies, including Deltacom where he served as executive vice
  president of sales and marketing and WilTel Communications where he was senior vice president
  of marketing. He has also held positions with AT&T and Broadwing Communications. He holds a
  Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J

  Karen Turner, senior vice president of strategy and business support at
  FairPoint CommunicationsInc., is responsible for ensuring timely and high-quality
  implementation of strategic initiatives acrossall areas of the company.

  Ms. Turner has more than 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, operational support and
  administration. She came to FairPoint from INC Research, LLC, where she served as
  vice president of global business finance and before that, controller.

  Prior to that, Ms. Turner was the corporate compliance officer and vice president of
  administration at Madison River Communications, LLC, and before that she spent three years
  as controller at Progress Energy in its Energy Delivery Business Unit. She also worked for Sprint
  for six years, and began her career with Ernst & Young. She holds a bachelor’s degree
  from North Carolina State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Peter D. Aquino has held leadership positions in both public and private companies, specializing in turnarounds, start-ups, and emerging markets. He is the founder of Broad Valley Capital, LLC, focused on companies needing both telecom expertise and capital. Mr. Aquino has recently served as the Executive Chairman of Primus Telecom Group, Inc. (NYSE: PTGI) until April 30, 2013, transitioning from Chairman and CEO after nearly a three year assignment with the international telecom company. Prior to PTGi, Mr. Aquino was the President and CEO of RCN Corporation (Nasdaq: RCNI) from December 2004 until its Go-Private sale for $1.2B in August 2010. Mr. Aquino currently serves as Chairman of the United Way Worldwide - US Board of Trustees, and a board member of TiVo, Inc. (Nasdaq: TIVO).

Mr. Aquino is a graduate of Montclair State College in New Jersey, and has an MBA from George Washington University, in Washington, DC.

Dennis Austin has served as an independent telecommunications consultant since 2002. He previously served as a consultant at BearingPoint, formerly KPMG Consulting, from 1995 to 2002, and as vice president at San Francisco Consulting Group (SFCG) from 1985 to 1995. Prior to joining SFCG, Mr. Austin was vice president of engineering with Dataspeed Inc. and director of switch engineering, network planning and design at GTE Sprint. Prior to joining GTE Sprint, Mr. Austin served as a member of the technical staff with Bell Telephone Laboratories.

Mr. Austin holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Mr. Gingold is a director at Angelo, Gordon & Co., which he joined in 2007, focusing in distressed and leverage credit. Prior to joining Angelo, Gordon & Co., Mr. Gingold’s background includes significant management experience across several operational roles, positions as an investment banker, and functions related to corporate development and strategy.  Mr. Gingold holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Columbia Business School.

Michael Mahoney previously served as president and chief executive officer of Commonwealth Telephone Enterprises, Inc. from 2000 to 2007. Prior to joining Commonwealth Telephone, Mr. Mahoney served as president and chief operating officer of RCN Corporation from 1997 to 2000 and as president and chief operating officer of C-TEC Corporation from 1993 to 1997.

Mr. Mahoney currently serves as a director of Level 3 Communications and as a trustee of Wilkes University. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Villanova University.

Michael Robinson has served as president and chief executive officer of Broadview Networks since 2005 and as a director since 2009. Mr. Robinson previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of US LEC (which is now part of PAETEC) from 1998 to 2005. Prior to 1998, Mr. Robinson spent 10 years as an executive at Alcatel (now Alcatel Lucent).

Mr. Robinson received a bachelor's degree in business and economics from Emory & Henry College and a Masters of Business Administration from Wake Forest University.

David Treadwell has served as president and chief executive officer of EP Management Corporation, formerly known as EaglePicher Corporation, since 2006. Treadwell was EaglePicher Incorporated's chief operating officer from 2005 to 2006 and served as chief executive officer of Oxford Automotive through its restructuring in 2004 to 2005.

Mr. Treadwell currently serves as lead director of Flagstar Bank and chairman of the board of C&D Technologies. He received a B.B.A. degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Wayne Wilson, a New Hampshire resident, has been an independent business advisor since 2002. From 1995 to 2002, Mr. Wilson served in various roles as president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of PC Connection, Inc., a Fortune 1000 direct marketer of information technology products and services. From 1986 to 1995, Mr. Wilson was a partner in the assurance and advisory services practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP.

Mr. Wilson currently serves as a director of ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Edgewater Technology, Inc. and Hologic, Inc. He previously served as a director of Cytyc Corporation. Mr. Wilson received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Duke University, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a certified public accountant in New Hampshire and North Carolina.
