Voice Mail Access Number Lookup Tool
Determines Voicemail access telephone number based on the end user’s telephone number. If the end user’s number is ported (port-in or switch ported between offices in the same rate center), then the access number should be based on the serving switch (use switch EXK for access number lookup).
Password protection provides the end user with the capability of establishing a personal password. The system assigns a starter password. Subscribers must use the starter password the first time they access mailboxes. The system will ask the end user to change the starter password to a new 4–10 digit password. This password can be changed at any time.
The starter password will be the last 4 digits of the end user’s telephone number.
If the end user forgets the password, the CLEC can have it reset to the default password by opening a ticket through VFO. The default password will be the last 4 digits of the user’s telephone number.
