FairPoint Inside Wire Maintenance Plan
The Inside Wire Maintenance Plan is an optional monthly service that offers reliable protection for a small monthly charge per business line. Coverage includes diagnosis and repair of the inside phone wiring and jacks that provide your FairPoint dial-tone service.
Sentry I* Wire Maintenance Plan
The Sentry I Wire Maintenance Plan offers your business lines reliable protection for a small monthly charge. Our service includes diagnosis, repair and a loaner phone to keep you connected for up to 60 days when problems occur.

- Provides a loaner phone for 60 days, free of charge, if your phone is not working
Sentry II* Wire Maintenance Plan
The Sentry II Wire Maintenance Plan gives you the flexibility to quickly identify and diagnose service issues with your phone equipment—whether you purchased your equipment from FairPoint or another vendor. Available to customers with single-line and multi-line phone equipment for a small monthly charge.

- Provides FairPoint as your primary point of contact for your phone maintenance concerns—even if you work with additional communications vendors
- Eliminates maintenance visit charges when trying to identify problems with your phone equipment
- Offers diagnostic testing to determine the source of the problem with your phone equipment or inside wiring
- Includes cooperative testing with your other vendors to resolve conditions affecting your service at no additional charge
Sentry III* Wire Maintenance Plan
The Sentry III Enhanced Maintenance Plan offers FairPoint's most comprehensive maintenance coverage. Enjoy all the features of Sentry II, plus additions including a special 800 number for reporting service issues and monthly reporting on your telecommunications repair history. Available to customers with single-line and multi-line phone equipment for a small monthly charge.

- Provides monthly reports detailing your repair history
- Offers repairs of your inside wiring for an additional charge

Wire maintenance does not include the repair or replacement of phone sets or other phone equipment at your premises. Pricing is on a per-line basis. Service call and labor charges will apply if the trouble is caused by your phone set(s) or equipment.
Inside wire maintenance may not be your responsibility if you lease your business space. Contact your landlord or property manager to determine who is responsible.
Pre-existing conditions and problems with your inside wiring or phone jacks are not covered within this plan. If you do not have a maintenance plan, you may make your own repairs, hire someone else to repair the wiring, or hire FairPoint. Labor and materials charges will apply for each service call.
The Inside Wire Maintenance Plan does not provide for any direct repair work on any equipment other than the customers' inside wire and jacks on their premises.
This service may not be available in all areas. A waiting period applies from the order date to the terms of the plan effective date. The charges for this plan are subject to change with 30 days prior written notice. Other exclusions and restrictions may apply.
The Inside Wire Maintenance Plan does not cover:
- Key phone systems
- Multi-line phone equipment
- PBX systems
- Channel services
- Coin-operated phone services
- Wire larger than 8-pair
- Pre-existing conditions
- Misuse, abuse, riot, acts of war, fire, and acts of nature
- Nonstandard wire and jacks that do not comply with Part 68 of FCC rules and/or FairPoint's technical standards
- Malfunctions resulting from use of voice grade lines to transmit or receive data or signals beyond the operating parameters of the line
- Restoration of premises if asked to repair concealed wire
- Customer-provided equipment (CPE)
- Inside phone wiring, jacks, or other items used in connection with the phone exchange of a provider other than FairPoint
- Repair or replacement of phone sets or equipment
